Pruning step by step
- Trim in April once strong new growth is visible.
- Stay well above the bare brown wood and keep green shoots on the plant.
- After flowering, remove the spent spikes plus a small amount of green growth.

Cutting into bare old wood, where lavender often fails to recover.
