Who processes your data?

Noordman Groenbeheer is the controller for the SnoeiWijs product. You can reach us directly by email at snoeiwijs@gmail.com. Our address, phone number, Chamber of Commerce and VAT numbers are on the separate page Company and contact details.

Which data do we store?

• Account and sign-in: your email address, your user ID and your session. Signing in uses a one-time code by email; we store no password.
• Profile: your language, your time zone, your plan status (free or Plus) and your voluntary notification setting.
• My garden: which plants you saved, the status of a pruning task, the date you mark something as pruned and your pruning history.
• Garden location: only if you save it yourself. We store a rounded location (about one kilometre) and a general place label only. No exact address, no continuous tracking.
• Notifications: your browser push endpoint and its cryptographic subscription data (the p256dh key and the authentication secret), plus a technical log that prevents more than one notification per day.

What stays on your own device?

• Free-text notes and ticked checklists stay in your browser per account and are not sent to our server.
• Photos you view with a task stay in your device memory only and are never uploaded.
• Short-lived links to Plus media exist only in the memory of the open page.

Why, and on which legal basis?

• Performing the agreement: your account, your garden, your pruning plan and access to Plus content.
• Consent: your garden location, live weather and push notifications. You can withdraw that choice at any time.
• Legitimate interest: keeping the app secure and working and preventing abuse.

Suppliers we rely on

• Supabase and Lovable: sign-in, hosting and database storage of your account and garden data.
• Open-Meteo: weather for your rounded garden location. No email address or user ID is sent.
• iNaturalist: searching plant photos. Only plant names are sent, no data about you.
• Your own browser's push service (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla): delivering voluntary notifications.
• Payments take place outside the app on the secure SnoeiWijs payment page. That payment environment processes the payment data; the app stores no payment details.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use your data for advertising profiles.

Security and retention

Your data is kept in a protected database with policies that give only you access to your own rows. Plus media is delivered through short-lived, personal links only. We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile, garden, tasks, history and notification registrations are deleted with it. Technical logs and backups may persist for a short while before they disappear in the normal cycle; we do not promise an exact term we cannot guarantee.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, restrict processing, object, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account yourself in the app or on the Delete account page. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Separate products

The SnoeiWijs app, the SnoeiWijs Garden Club (MemBirds) and Tuinseintjes are separate products. An app subscription does not include the Garden Club or Tuinseintjes, and the other way round, unless a future offer says so explicitly before purchase.
